How are you? Arrived safely in Oconomoc, Wisconsin last Feb.7. I was met at the milwakee airport by the HR Director, Carolyn Clautter who is so nice and accomodating. I was directly brought to my appartment which fortunately is just accross the street from where i work. I am very lucky to have dis place. Lutheran homes of oconomowoc is such a huge facility, it is a sort of landmark in this town and they even built a covered skywalk so employees and residents can go from one building to another. The people here are so friendly and helpful. I was even given a welcome reception so I could meet everybody the nursing director, Debbie Phelps, took me to dinner with her family. She's so kind and so considerate of the fact that I don't have that much hospital experience. She even went out of her way to contact some Filipinos in the area so I won't feel homesick.

Well, after two months I can say na maganda at masaya ang experience namin dito, maganda ang place namin, kompleto sa lahat at mababait ang mga employer namin kaya naman, I should always recommend sa mga nurses na applicants nyo ryan na talagang we're well taken care of here… I'm terribly missing everybody but it is good to tell you that people here are so nice to me and there are some Filipino friends here to help me get started… they have a beautiful, clean, peaceful environment, friendly people and developed facilities etc to start and enjoy with… it is awesomely nice here.

Minnesota is great. The people are very friendly, especially the guys from Sholom. I had a pretty smooth start last Monday. Sholom is great to work at. …I am encouraging the applicants to come over here dahil maganda ang accommodation at talagang very friendly ang mga tao dito. They treat you na parang kalahi din nila. Everybody has been good to us. Ang mga furnitures namin, bigay nila lahat pati mga plato, spoon and fork, pati mga beds and everything. They have been treating us well here. Pero walang ibang Filipinos dito sa place namin. Even strangers are nice. They have a tendency to greet you when you meet them in the streets. At grabe! Ang ganda ng Auburn Manor, ha. Parang hotel na maliit. The residents have very beautiful rooms and their dining room looks classy. May chandelier pa.

Basta masaya kami dito. … Pero enjoy pa rin at maraming nag-o-offer ng rides to the city kung kailangan. Even Erica (my daughter) is having fun. May mga nakakalaro din and even if she still doesn't speak English, okay naman sila.

We've got our health card, security insurance #, license and well call child tax benefit dept for Kim's subsidy. The first batch got their relocation fund of 5000 Canadian this week.. wow! I will forever grateful to all of you because now I can give so much more to my family. Kahit na nakakahomesick and gusto ko na umuwi, it's all worth it. I passed my NCLEX in June Kaya the past 2 months madalas ang outing ko kasi summer and I don't have to stay inside the house para mag-aral. In fact I just got back yesterday from new york.
