1. CGFNS - Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools - a test to gauge the applicants ability to pass the NCLEX which is a prerequisite to becoming a licensed nurse in the USA.
2. TSE - Test of Spoken English - a test to determine the applicants ability to speak English and a requirement for application of the Visa Screen Certificate - Format is offered as Applicant Speaks into a cassette recorder with the tape submitted to a panel for evaluation.
3. TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language - written test evaluating the applicants ability to understand and write English and a requirement for application of CGFNS certificate.
4. NCLEX - National Council for Licensure Examination - Tests for RN License in states. Taken in the USA after the applicant has landed in the states.
5. IELTS - International English Language Testing System - design to preset a profile of individual's English language ability and a requirement for visa screen certificate. It is now an option for the CGFNS certification program.
